Why we built ROVOS
Built by a goalie who has been there.
I played goalie for 12 years, including at the Division 1 level. In that time I broke my thumb and lost count of the bruises. Almost all of it happened in practice, in inside finishing and shooting drills, not in games.
Those injuries didn't stay on the field. They followed me into the weight room, into the next day's practice, and even into game performance. And a goalie who is afraid of the ball starts to flinch, and flinching turns into bad habits.
ROVOS balls are weighted to feel real in the stick, with a softer feel than a standard lacrosse ball. We're the first to make a soft lacrosse ball in the new NCAA color, made for inside finishing and shooting drills at practice.
Every team that shoots on a goalie in practice should have a soft lacrosse ball in the bag.
